A practical guide
Bring report wording into a text review.
- Open a PDF whose words can be selected in a viewer.
- Extract the text and inspect the result by source page.
- Download or copy the text, checking names, figures and sequence against the PDF.
Try this example
Extract the embedded text from a five-page proposal and compare the quoted price and project name in the TXT output with the rendered source before reuse.
Before
- Selectable PDF text
After
- Plain text .txt
Before you start: Reading order may differ from multi-column layout. This is not OCR, Word conversion or a substitute for visual review.
Continue with the source PDFWhat you get
Extract embedded text into a TXT file. Scanned pages need OCR; source reading order may differ from the visible layout.
Limits and important details
Maximum 10 MiB input, 200 pages and 4 MiB text output. Scanned documents without a text layer report an error instead of a fake successful extraction. Reading order, columns and fonts may not match visual layout. This is not OCR or PDF-to-Word.
Example
Extract text from a searchable report, review it in the result field and copy or download it. Original PDFs remain available after the text result.
