A practical guide

Give the meeting a focused reading pack.

  1. Open one PDF and inspect its page preview.
  2. Select the document positions to keep, using the example below as a guide.
  3. Extract the pages, review the resulting PDF and download it.

Try this example

For a 16-page report, select 1, 6-8 to create a four-page handout containing the cover and three discussion pages. Check that any referenced charts or notes are included.

Before

  • 1: cover
  • 6-8: topic

After

  • 1
  • 6
  • 7
  • 8
Selected source positions become one PDF; check the page count and contents. Illustrative example.

Before you start: Printed page numbers and references are not rewritten. If a selected page refers to an omitted appendix, include that context or review the handout before sharing.

Number the handout pages
What you get

One PDF containing the requested pages. Enter page numbers and inclusive ranges separated by commas. Page numbering starts at 1; these are document positions, not printed page labels.

Limits and important details

Pages appear in the requested order. Repeated page numbers are included only once. Ranges must run forwards and stay within the document. Scanned pages can be copied, but this operation does not recognize their text.

Example

Enter 1, 3-5 to keep four pages, or open Preview pages and tick the pages you want. Newly checked pages are appended to the selection order. Output order lets you change each selected page's position; the downloaded PDF follows that order. The original document is not modified.
