How we handle your data

PDF Viewer Settings

Set PDF viewer preferences so a report opens with the right page layout, side panel and window title, and suggest print options. Free, no upload.

This six-page PDF starts without explicit viewer preferences. Choose a setting instead of Keep existing, save and inspect the result. Viewers may ignore these suggestions.

A practical guide

Prepare opening and print suggestions for reviewers.

  1. Choose the PDF whose viewing and printing preferences you want to suggest.
  2. Set the available layout, panel, reading direction, title display or print options; keep existing where desired.
  3. Save the preference copy and inspect the saved result.

Try this example

Suggest opening a report with its bookmarks panel and document title in the window. Verify the saved preferences before sharing.

After

Before you start: These are suggestions that viewers and printers may ignore; they do not resize pages or restrict printing. Saving may invalidate signatures; size and page limits apply.

What you get

Save suggested viewing and print settings in a PDF. Keep existing leaves a field unchanged. Viewers and printers may ignore these preferences; they do not resize pages or restrict printing. Saving may invalidate digital signatures. Limits: 10 MiB, 200 pages.

Limits and important details

Editing: 10 MiB, 200 pages, 2048 characters per field, 20 MiB output. Dates use UTC timestamps. XMP and other metadata are not synchronized or sanitized. Digital signatures may be invalidated. Inspection does not certify a document is safe or enumerate every attachment, script or hidden object. File names and report text remain local.

Example

For an already imposed booklet, choose Actual size and Two sided; flip short edge. Save, download, then verify settings in your PDF viewer and print a test sheet. This does not impose booklet pages or guarantee printer behavior. Original scripts, actions and other document data are not sanitized.
