A practical guide

Give each side of the spread its own page.

  1. Choose a PDF containing wide pages with two side-by-side panels.
  2. Set the split position and choose whether the left or right side comes first.
  3. Create the copy and check the new page boundaries and reading order.

Try this example

Split a wide report spread into separate left and right pages. Review titles and chart edges at the split before using the pages in a presentation copy.

Before you start: The split clips page visibility at the chosen boundary; it does not securely erase hidden content. Check the cut line and resulting order.

Arrange the separated pages
What you get

Split each wide page into left and right pages. Choose the split position and reading order. Hidden content is clipped, not securely removed.

Limits and important details

Split and crop clip visibility, not securely remove hidden content. Marks are not redaction or editable comments: one per run on up to 500 pages, Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese or Korean text up to 300 characters. Forms: 10 MiB, 200 pages, 100 plain single-line text, checkbox, dropdown or radio fields; no XFA, signatures or scripts. Appearances may change. Not PDF sanitization.

Example

A PDF containing two book spreads becomes four pages. Adjust the split if the scan is not centered.
